COMPETITION

Adrian Agachi

You have earned the top spot. All your competitors have recognized their defeat in front of you. Nobody wants to challenge you any longer. You stand quietly as joy and desolation mix inside your soul. If nobody will compete, no progress is possible.

You wake up from this dream and start to think it over. There is one last competitor you have to fight. You look in the mirror; you smile and say, I will compete against myself.

“Only you are my Lord! Every good thing I have is a gift from you.”
Psalm 16:2b (CEV)

The people who have changed the world did not compete only with others but with themselves. They challenged the impossible. They lived a dream beyond what others could barely imagine. They had faith in the word of God: “What is impossible for humans is possible for God” (Luke 18:27, CEB).

ACT ON IT: When you earn the top spot, do not believe it is all over. Look to God. Give your very best. Take the race to the next level: the one beyond first place.
