“God, I hope you’re up there!”

Justin’s drug abuse started early; and within a month of his first high, he was doing drugs around the clock. Kicked out of high school, asked to leave boarding school, forced out of a treatment center, and “totally out of control,” he finally had to accept the harsh reality that he would die an early death in jail from his alcoholism and drug addiction.

One night in his jail cell, a prayer came from within: “God, I hope you’re up there, ’cause if you’re not, I’m screwed—and if you are, I’ll do whatever you want if you can fix this total mess of a life . . .”
