World Kindness Day

hold your tongue Ftr TSP 136323242Today is a day to for smiles, good deeds, random acts of kindness. However, if the best you can hope for is NOT to say things that aren’t nice, here is a thought to help you tame your tongue:

A friend hurt me with a word. In one second, I hurt him just as much. I lost his friendship; he lost mine. We were both wrong.

Extreme anger is not good. Anger can turn friends into enemies, relatives into strangers, dreams into nightmares. Anger is not easy to overcome. But the Apostle Paul says, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice” (Ephesians 4:31, NIV).

How will you keep your calm when others are angry? Offer them good words so that they may be healed. Do not turn them into enemies by responding in anger.
