Whole Again

Sudha Khristmukti

Alone with you
I am quiet and still.
the echoes of worldly pace
grow insignificant,
drift far away.
Undisturbed by call of routine,
or commitment, or expectation,
unencumbered by earthly pursuit,
my  heart shifts into clearer focus.

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (NRSV)

I hear your word, Lord;
I feel your love.
I know your touch upon my soul.
You reach out;
you renew me
in mind, in body, in spirit.
Slowly, your grace fills me.
Your peace empowers me.
And I am whole again.

GIVE IT A REST: Spend some time in silence before God. Let go of the pressures of daily life. Feel the healing power of God’s gentle touch. Enjoy just being in God’s presence.
