My parents are getting divorced and I’m worried my siblings (2 sisters and a brother) will blame themselves. please pray that we will have the strength we need to get through this and that God will be glorified through whatever happens.

    Sydney —

I just wanted to let you know that I have two best friends who have both had to deal with their parents getting divorced; both girls also have younger siblings. It has been 2-3 years in both cases, and although I have been with my friends through the ugliness of divorce–I have seen ways that God has revealed good in both instances. Romans 8:28 is so comforting that the Lord really can bring good out of the chaos, for all his children who love him, he will work out his purposes according to his plan.

Continue to show Christ’s love to your siblings, teaching them about grace and forgiveness and redemption, as you pray for Christ to grow understanding in your heart heart about these things along the way. As your siblings watch and see that you do not blame yourself, hopefully they will understand that they are not to blame either.

I’ll say a prayer for your family, Sydney. Cling tight to Jesus.
