Post a Prayer Request

I have bad anxiety and a little bit of depression. I feel like no one understands me and I feel alone. I also have a lot of doubt about if God real. I hope he is but I don’t see how he is in my life

Dear Zoe, I pray for you to find peace within yourself and peace with your surroundings. Sometimes things just take a little time to settle down, sometimes a little longer. And in that meantime, may you find comfort in small pockets of quietness and may you start feeling God’s presence in those small moments. I prayer for God to come into your life and keep you company.

Dear Zoe, I am sorry and I was wondering if you go to church and have a youth group. I really love going to youth group. It makes me so happy, and it might help you too. I don’t know you personally, and I can’t say I know exactly what you’re going through; but this is what I think about when I’m sad or angry. Please accept God into your life. God may not make life easier, but he cares about you and will not let you down. I am praying for you, and I hope you can find help.

    Hi Zoe,

I may not know exactly what you are going through, but I can relate. Even though I have been in Christ now for several years, there are still moments when I struggle with depression. When those thoughts come, I usually read the Word. God speaks to us clearly through it and often the Word is exactly the medicine/remedy the depression or anxiety within us needs. I encourage you to get into God’s Word. As God speaks to you and heals you through it, you will find just how REAL He is.

Zoe, I also struggle with anxiety and depression and doubt. I can remember a time recently in my walk with Christ where I really didn’t even believe He existed at all. It’s one of the scariest things to doubt what your faith is built on. If you’re interested, Mike Mchargue’s blogs on doubt have tremendously helped me in my doubt. He was an Christian who became an atheist for 2 years before becoming a Christian again. Here is a link if anyone is interested. mikemchargue. com/the-doubt-series

    Hi Zoe
I have many friends with anxiety and depression. As you probably figured out, worrying and being anxious doesn’t really help the situation, but praying WILL help. One of the things it does is get your mind on something else and helps you cope. Even if you say something simple like “God, can you help me understand?” or “God help me get through these anxious moments. Please reveal yourself to me so that I can understand who you are. Help me get closer to you and see how you are working in my life. In Jesus name. Amen.” Really, all you need to do is talk to God just like you would talk to a friend, and then you will begin to see that he is working in your life. you can pray and ask him to send you friends that can help you out. Pray about every little thing! it really does work. I am praying for you Zoe. God loves you!

Hey Dearly Beloved Child of GOD: I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety my freshmen year of high school and I know how it feels like no one understands you and that you feel alone and almost invisible at times. But I want you to know that you have a disease that you can tell how big your GOD is and that you can get through this with other Christians praying for you and wanting to help guide you in the direction to GOD or to getting help. GOD is our Healer and we have to believe he can and will heal us in his time and that we will never be tempted beyond what we can bear even though we may feel like GOD is not there when He actually is. A good story that I just read today was the beginning of Job when he was getting tempted by satan to curse GOD to his face when he was afflicted with different things and when his whole family died all his children and all his animals and Job ended up cutting himself with a piece of broken pottery while he sat among the ashes but he never gave up on GOD and GOD never gave up on him. GOD is there for you like it states in the footprints in the sand saying that when we only see one set of footprints it was his footprints since he was carrying us. GOD sent his son into this wicked world to walk among us as an example of how we ought to live and he ended up dying on the cross for our sins and that by his wounds we are healed and always know that he will never leave us nor forsake us like it says in the scriptures. also cast all your anxiety on him for he cares for you. hope these help I will be praying for you.
