Spiritual Practice

Kristi L. Robbins

Poetry is God’s gift. When I write my feelings, I know that I am alive; I know that what I think and feel really do matter.

Poetry is private. It comes from the heart, and it doesn’t come easily. Letting other people read my poems takes a lot of courage. But God gives us gifts that are meant to be shared.

Perhaps giving the gift of poetry can bring other people one step closer to heaven. If so, then the blessings of God overcomes my fear of criticism.
