Practice Living Worry Free
Too often we misinterpret Matthew 6:26 to mean: “If God takes care of the birds, how much more will God protect and care for me!” Given a closer look, the verse and the surrounding passage convey a different message—not that God will prevent hardships because God cares so much about us, but that instead of stressing so much, we should simply rely on God in times of trouble.
And how do we do that? Jesus tells us to take each day one at a time (Matthew 6:34) and, above all, to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33, NIV).
