Talk to Your Parents
Need some help? I have learned some things about communicating with parents:
1. Your parents were teenagers at one point, whether they were hunting dinosaurs or not.
2. Times have changed a lot, and your parents might not see everything the way you do.
3. Even if your parents make you nuts, be honest yet gentle with what you say to them because they love you.
You might also want to explore whether or not you have unrealistic expectations of your parents. Learning to love them as they are may help you to deepen your other relationships as well.
What tips would you offer your peers who long for better communication with their parents?
