Time for God

Deana Hadley

School is a huge part of my life. Homework, tests, friends, fitting in, and the latest fashion consume most of my time. Sometimes it is hard to find time for God, especially when I have a huge math test the next day.

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”
Jeremiah 31:25

I have found a simple way to balance school and faith. I have a notebook that I use to keep track of all my assignments and activities. Now I simply schedule in one more thing: “Spend time with God.” Sometimes I can find thirty minutes to spend with God; at other times I can only squeeze in five minutes. But God understands that I am busy and is thrilled if I spend just a few seconds in prayer before a meal.

ACT ON IT: Try adding God to your list of assignments each day. After a while, spending time with God will beocme less of a hassle and more of a joy.
